  • Cantors

    Cantors

The cantors work with the Music Director in coordinating music for the various liturgies, celebrations and commemorations of the parish.

The Cantor’s responsibility is to facilitate the congregation’s sung worship. To be able to do this successfully, the cantor must feel comfortable assisting the congregation in song and be familiar with the Catholic liturgy, while also singing well with a sound system. Cantors lead music at the 4:00 p.m. Saturday Mass, the 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Sunday Masses in the Church. They must audition with Kasey Martz, our parish Music Director, before being scheduled and must be willing to rehearse as needed.

  • Funeral Choir

    Funeral Choir

St. Mark Church is blessed to have a small group of singers who serve regularly at the funerals celebrated at St. Mark when requested by friends or family members of the deceased. Most of these choir members are retirees who are available on short notice (one or two days) during normal working hours. They rehearse occasionally, as needed. Their music enhances funeral liturgies and helps assist grieving families participate in the funeral Mass. They have a truly unique way to touch people through music.
