St. Mark Parish and School Celebrates 136 Years Serving the Catholic Faithful

OCIA (Adults)

The OCIA is a spiritual journey for non-baptized adults and those baptized into another faith who are seeking the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and/or Eucharist, in preparation for joining our Catholic community.

The OCIA program begins each September and meets on Wednesdays from 7:00–8:30pm. OCIA sponsors support and share in the growth process of adult and youth candidates. Sponsors serve as companions, listeners, living faith examples, and spiritual guides to candidates. Catholics who wish to learn more about their faith, especially those who have been away from the practice of the faith for some time, are also welcome.

  • I am an adult Catholic but never received Confirmation. What should I do?

Join our OCIA or adult Confirmation process. Contact the Parish Office/Faith Formation Office for guidance.

  • How do I become Catholic if I was baptized in another Christian tradition?

You will participate in the OCIA journey leading to full reception into the Catholic Church.

  • How long does the OCIA process take?

Most begin in the fall and continue through the Easter season, but timing can vary.

Contact our Parish Life/Faith Formation Team with any questions about the OCIA program: Joe Martz.
