Here at St. Mark Parish, we work diligently to utilize the facilities in such a way as to encourage maximum flexibility usage. Therefore, the order for allowing groups to use the facilities is as follows:
PLEASE NOTE: To use any parish facility, a group MUST be a recognized parish or school group. No exceptions are made to this policy.
In an effort to better coordinate and document those functions that take place on the parish grounds, and in order to better serve individuals’ needs and those of its members, we are requiring that all recognized parish and school groups reserve space well in advance of their function by completing a Facility and Grounds Request Form (no exceptions) and submitting completed form to the Parish Secretary through postal mail, fax, or drop off at the Parish Center for approval well in advance of the scheduled event. No group should assume space is available without reserving it, even if the particular space has been reserved before at the same time in the past. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Confirmation of reservation will be provided as soon as possible, and all requests will be carefully reviewed to prevent conflicts. Any group that decides to cancel their event should notify the Parish Secretary at (410) 744-6560, ext. 221 as soon as possible between the hours of 8am and 4pm, Monday through Friday. Failure to notify the Parish Secretary of a cancellation may affect a group’s ability to utilize these facilities in the future.
It should be clearly understood that all groups are expected to demonstrate general respect and exercise due care for parish facilities and equipment. Setting up and cleaning of the facility is the responsibility of the group who has reserved the space. All food and drinks must be removed from the area and disposed of properly. If the room(s) used by any group is not cleaned and all trash removed following the event, that group may not be able to use a room in the future.
Please be advised of the provided administrative facility guidelines which can be accessed from the Parish Center page. They are designed to clarify deadlines, furnish the group with the proper information, and to maximize the effectiveness in facilitating the groups’ requirements. However, failure to comply with the guidelines provided could result in a group losing their privilege to use any facility in the future. All group leaders/function coordinators should read the guidelines carefully to become familiar with them and to be sure they are observed. It is also necessary to communicate them to their prospective members.
