Altar Servers
Altar servers are drawn from the youth of the parish from 5th to 12th grades (ages 10-17) who personally takes responsibility for their own life of faith – in Church and out of Church. Their duties include preparing the altar before Mass, participating in the opening and closing processions, holding the Sacramentary (book) during prayers, and escort the Eucharistic gifts to the altar, while assisting the presider, deacon, and other ministers as necessary. Any boys and girls of the faithful who has received First Eucharist may train for this ministry. Training is required and run at certain times throughout the year. Youth MUST attend an informational meeting and a parent or guardian MUST also attend.

Schedule Information:
This schedule welcomes 21 new servers. Therefore, several experienced servers have only one assignment. Please get a substitute if you cannot keep your assigned Mass so these new servers will not be alone.

PLEASE NOTE: Altar Servers who are not able to serve their appointed time, MUST try to find a replacement. Whether the altar server is successful or unsuccessful in finding a replacement, it is essential to contact Mrs. Caroline Alder (410-747-3768) AND the Parish office (410-744-6560, ext. 1) stating this fact. Altar servers should refer to their phone list provided with each schedule for telephone numbers when needing to find a replacement.
